Over wrapping of cartons of 100 and 200 cigarettes Marden Edwards provides tried and tested solutions for packaging and overwrapping cartons of 200 or 100 cigarettes, otherwise known as display outers or duty free packs. Simple and straightforward size change means production versatility coupled with high efficiency running. Suitable for production speeds up to from up to 100 boxes per minute, Marden Edwards over wrappers can now be specified with an internal pack shrinking system which guarantees skin tight wrapping with no extra floorspace required.
Primary pack collator and overwrapper Marden Edwards collator overwrappers are an integrated bundling and wrapping solution. Designed to collate and wrap with printed or clear film, Marden Edwards wrapping equipment collates and wraps individual cigarette and cigar packs. In addition, for production flexibility, the same machine can also overwrap boxed cartons of 200 cigarettes. One machine can overwrap a wide variety of bundle formats with rapid changeover from one size to another. Multipacking of individual “soft” cigarette packs using clear film
High speed 40s, 60s, 80s and 100s collator overwrapper To provide greater pack format flexibility Marden Edwards has developed the WR400 system. Designed to accept individual 20s packs at speeds up to 500 per minute, the WR400 produces 2, 3 ,4 or 5 pack collations in clear or printed film. Being able to produce 40s, 60s, 80s or 100s sized collations enables customers greater marketing flexibility. Because changeover from one size to another is very quick, the WR400 provides great production line versatility.
RYO pouch collating and overwrapping Marden Edwards produce a range of roll your own tobacco pouch collating and overwrapping systems. They are designed to work over a speed range of 70 to 140 pouches per minute and weights from 12.5 to 50g with pack formats ranging from 5 to 12 pouches. The individual pouches themselves can be unwrapped, bag wrapped or flow wrapped before collating. Overwrapping with printed film can save substantial amounts of money when compared to packing into a carton.
High speed cigar pack overwrappers Individual cigar pack overwrapping presents its own set of requirements. Frequently the same machine has to wrap individual cartons made from cardboard, plastic or even tins. Designed to provide product size change flexibility, the WR200s is a compact solution which has been designed for both high speed wrapping and frequent size change. It is available either as a front or side feed machine.
Multi pack 200s wrapping To meet the opportunities provided by lower tax markets, Marden Edwards produces the LX190 collator and overwrapper for 200s cartons. Designed to produce collations containing 400, 600, 800, 1000 and 1200 cigarettes, the LX190FF can feed into a carry handle applicator system to provide a low cost, high quality multi pack solution for “duty free” and bulk sales.
PSB transit pack collation and wrapping machine The PSB range of automatic stretchbanders produces a skin tight transit wrap for 3000, 5000 or 10000 cigarettes. The Polyethylene material used to wrap the collated packs is very low cost and produces a fully enclosed and robust bundle for onward distribution. This system of transit packaging can produce enormous material savings when compared to case packing systems.
Shrink tightening system Marden Edwards produces a range of pack conditioning, re-orienting, conveying and collating systems to complement its range of overwrapping and stretchwrapping machinery. The ST100 free standing shrink tidier can be used in any production line in both the horizontal and vertical planes to produce a skin tight overwrap for 200s packs. It is also available as a built in system on Marden Edwards overwrapping machinery.
