Giving Back Where it Counts - Race for Life

Marden Edwards believe in giving back to the community, and this comes in many forms, including contributing to life-changing charities like Cancer Research UK who aim to not only find a cure, sooner rather than later, but also to help those diagnosed to overcome cancer, and go on to live a long and healthy life.  By putting our faith in organisations of this type, we bring hope to the lives of many suffering with, and supporting those with Cancer.

Carolyn & Tara's 'Race for Life 5K'

With this in mind, some of the generous and charitable Marden Edwards staff took some time out of their busy lives on Sunday June 16, 2019 to participate in the Race for Life 5K.

Carolyn & Tara's Race for Life 5K, June 2019

Carolyn Pudwell – Logistics Administrator, and Tara Carroll – Health & Safety Officer, put on their running shoes, loaded up with bottled water, and headed over to Baiter Park in Poole, Dorset joining many others wishing to raise much needed funds for Cancer research.

Both Carolyn and Tara completed the scenic 5K course with ease, following a route that took them through Poole Park, and Whitecliff Recreational Ground and Harbourside – not a bad view to enjoy whilst raising a total of £730, including a contribution from Marden Edwards of £365.

Emily's Pretty Muddy 5K, June 2019

Emily's 'Pretty Muddy 5K'

The previous day, our Track & Trace Project Coordinator, Emily Parsloe participated in the Pretty Muddy 5K at Baiter Park, and as one might imagine, she managed to get adequately grubby in the process as she attacked the obstacle course and navigated the mud pit!  Raising a total of £1,261.25, with a contribution of £500 from Marden Edwards.

Well Done & Thanks

On behalf of everyone at Marden Edwards, we would like to say a huge congratulations to Tara, Carolyn and Emily for their fantastic efforts in completing their respective courses, and for contributing funds to enable the ongoing research work to find a cure and help those struggling with Cancer.
