Wrapping it up at Interpack 2017

Marden Edwards / Kopp Stand at Interpack 2017

Phew… the dust has finally settled and things are getting back to normal at Marden Edwards following the great success of Interpack 2017.  So it's time for a recap of the great event!

As you may be aware, Marden Edwards share a stand at Interpack with our German trade partners, Willi KOPP e.K. Verpackungssysteme, and over the years this successful alliance has enabled both our companies to invest in an impressive sized space from which to showcase our overwrapping and packaging machinery to mutual benefit!

2017 is no different, and as some 170,500 visitors descend upon the Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre, it is ‘all hands on deck’ to make the most of this week-long packaging extravaganza.

Introducing the new TMH 120, & 300

Taking full advantage of a captive audience, we take the opportunity to unveil our brand new TMH machines: the ME 120 base seal overwrapper, & ME 300 trailing edge seal overwrapper (120 and 300 wraps per minute, respectively).  Visitors are invited to watch machine demonstrations throughout the day, and these create great interest from both prospective new customers as well as many of our current trade partners and customers from around the globe.

Also featured on the stand are some of our well-established wrapping machinery which includes:
  • EVO series - fully automatic base seal overwrapper
  • Semi Auto series - trailing edge seal overwrapper
  • BX wide series - fully automatic base seal overwrapper

Full specs and downloadable brochures for our machinery range are available on the website here: https://www.mardenedwards.com/assets

Friends from Far & Wide

And of course, a major highlight of the show for the Marden Edwards team is to meet up with so many well-respected industry friends, colleagues and partners from all around the world.  Pictured throughout this post are just a few of the friendly faces who drop by the stand to say hello, check out the new machinery and put in their new packaging machinery orders - visitors include: Sidharth and Ashish of Mzuri Sweets, Diego from TeknoAdriatica, Rodrigo and Samuel of Empack, the team at Clearpak, and Alpha Teas. We also enjoy sitting down with Metin from Orimpeks, the Luciano Aguilar SA team, Ray and Kevin from Pakmatic, Naresh and Doug from MPI, and many others. It was a pleasure to see you all, and great doing business with you.

Record Numbers at Interpack 2017

As always, Interpack are great hosts to some 2,865 exhibitors - a record number!  And no doubt Interpack 2020 will again see an increase in both visitors and exhibitors, though with 19 halls at Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre jammed to overflowing with packaging and processing equipment and related products, is it even possible for the show to get any bigger?  … What’s that we hear you say? There will be a new South entrance and new Hall 1 in 2020… and so it begins again!

Thank You

There you have it, that’s our brief ‘wrap-up’ for Interpack 2017. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came out to visit us at Interpack 2017 and we look forward to more fun and games in Dusseldorf at Interpack 2020.  Thanks for all your enquiries and orders, and do keep in touch, there are new and exciting things happening on a regular basis at Marden Edwards.

And finally, special thanks has to go out to the entire Marden Edwards team for their hard work in getting the job done.

From the booking of the Kopp/Marden Edwards stand back in 2014, to packaging and uploading the machinery for shipment to Germany, unloading in Dusseldorf, stand set-up and machine final 'tweaks' to ensure that everything runs smoothly on opening day.
