A backstop roller is a rubber-coated roller with unidirectional rollers within the guillotine unit that prevent the packaging film from running back onto the reel after the cutting cycle.

By maintaining correct film tension and positioning after cutting, the backstop roller supports accurate film feed and consistent overwrapping performance.
