Folding Plates

Folding plates are mounted onto the folding deck between the comb bar and the end sealers to fold the film at both ends of the pack prior to sealing.

The comprise three principal pairs of components. A pair of front folders tuck in the film on the leading face at each end of the pack. A pair of centre folders fold the film upwards on the pack ends. A pair of rear folders then fold the film down immediately before sealing. 

Together, these components form the end-folding system within the overwrapping process.
