Comb Bar

A comb bar is a transverse bar running across the machine onto which the gate, fixed sleeving plate and one set of fingers are mounted. 

The top of the bar is castellated to allow the underfold to pass through during the wrapping sequence. 

It is considered a primary datum point within the machine, from which other components are assembled, aligned and adjusted.
