U Band Overwrapper - Reduced Material Bundling with Recyclable Paper

The Marden Edwards U-Band Overwrapper is shown here automatically collating cartons into a 1x3x1 bundle format before securing the grouped pack with recyclable paper from Ahlstrom. 

 
Developed as an alternative to a full overwrap, the U-Band applies paper only where it is needed to hold the collated cartons securely together. This reduces the amount of packaging material used whilst maintaining pack stability during handling, storage and transit.

The system provides a practical option for manufacturers looking to reduce secondary packaging materials whilst retaining the benefits of automated product collation and secure bundle formation.
